Quest- State the competitive advantage, benefits and value added features of your training programs ? 

Ans- The term competitive advantage is the ability gained through attributes and resources to perform at a higher level than others in the same industry or market (Refer to Christensen and Fahey 1984, Kay 1994, Porter 1980 cited by Chacarbaghi and Lynch 1999, p. 45)

Taking a clue from the strategic logic of value innovation (Refer Kim and Mauborgne, Blue Ocean Strategy. Harvard Business School Press,2005- Cirque du Solei example), I’ve endeavoured to create a leap in  value for the buyers (corporate and companies) of my training programs. When put into practice any of my training programs will offer innovation with value, aligning it with utility, price and cost all simultaneously.

As the Blue oceans denote all the industries not in existence today i.e. the unknown market space, untainted by competition. In blue oceans, demand is created rather than fought over.

Here’s how :

 I precede my soft skills facilitations with an integrated training needs analysis (TNA) strategy addressing the employee and supervisory levels with application of tools like 360 degree feedback projects, jobs difficulty tables, essay evaluation method and more. This is done to achieve a balanced scorecard (refer to Robert S Kaplan and David Norton, Balanced Scorecard , Harvard Business Review ) at the individual and operational level in order to distinguish between the training needs vs priorities.   

My training courses focus on individual as well as leadership behaviors in addition to imparting the core customer service behaviors and skills which in turn help you to improve and enhance your interpersonal communication at the office and at home.

Besides delivering the key customer service behaviours skill-set, an added focus is given on perfecting the communication skills, conflict management, team building, strategic planning, time managment skills and motivational training.   

Be more aware of your impact on others and how to manage your behavior for optimal results.

Ans- Although my last assignment on the face of it doesn’t appear to be in the recent past, yet, I’ve kept myself competitive with 'Upskilling' as a trainer, Tasks such as course content development, business building, and this website's development have kept me occupied.  

My professional assignment as a Professional Freelance Trainer is yet to happen.


Quest-  Isn't there  a team in order to execute and realize the day to day professional requirements and realize the assignment objectives?

Ans-  Best results are achieved when a given task such as facilitation is concentrated upon independently. Facilitation as a skill is essentially is a one man job. However, in the course of a session, I may seek inhouse assistance.

Ans-   When you hire a team or a training firm, you pay a much higher price for their services.

Quest-What are the threats as a professional?

Ans- Economies of scale dictate substantial minimum volumes in order to be profitable so new entrants in the BPO training sector are mostly deterred.

Secondly, the industry has high investment and fixed costs. Existing BPO training firms already have cost advantages thanks to their experience curve.  Wide availability of training alternatives also limit the scope of success.

Finally, very few organizations reinforce and underscore training from the top management onwards.
